That's why I'd like to get a feel for a TT 5-Speed vs. Auto.
One thing I've always felt is that the lower the power of a motor the greater the "NEED" for a manual transmission. A manual will lower drive-line power losses and help squeez the most out of what power is available. IMO a more powerful motor dosen't need those things, though the manual could be more enjoyable.
I did drive Chivas's 5-Speed TT a few years ago, but the car was making bad noises at the time (my car had the front ripped apart installing a UD Pully and we needed parts, he later discovered it was a spun bearing), and I was "VERY" gentle on it. I have not driven a TT Auto at all.
